As a democratic, self-guided church, we have no hierarchical organizations that control our local congregations. However, cooperation has always been essential for human survival and advancement.

Unitarian Universalists have created a variety of relationships to enable us to work together as a denomination. These occur on regional, state and national levels.

UU of Amherst is a member of the St. Lawrence District, which covers all of upstate NY.
