SAVE LIVES, FIGHT STIGMA
At Evergreen Health’s Harm Reduction Center and Syringe Exchange, we focus on a strength-based, compassionate approach to people who use substances. The current opioid epidemic we are experiencing in WNY does not discriminate between race, economic class, or social status. The War on Drugs failed miserably. I would like to take you through a journey of how we got to where we are today with the opioid crisis, touch on substance user culture, and showcase evidence-based approaches to combat this crisis.
I will also be providing a FREE Narcan Training. Narcan (Naloxone) is a life-saving drug that is used for an individual that overdoses on opiates.
